Vicki Adams - Director
Vicki has been with the Meals on Wheels program for ten years. Eight of those years were with the Beaverton center. She joined the the Tigard Center in September 2016.
She was a Montessori teacher for 15 years before going back to school for a gerontology degree.
Vicki just celebrated 39 years of marriage. She has two grown children and four grandchildren. In her spare time she likes to hike, ride bicycles, read and cook.
Theresa Thornton - Kitchen Coordinator / Program Assistant
Theresa began working for the senior nutrition program in September 2006 and has put her own twist on the meals that are served at the center and delivered as Meals-On-Wheels to homebound seniors in the Tigard area.
Theresa has spent most of her career in food service and has worked as both a sous chef and a caterer. She has a passion for both quality and presentation and prefers to use fresh, organic herbs and vegetables in her cooking. In fact, she grows most of the fresh herbs she uses in her home garden. Since joining Tigard Loaves & Fishes Center, Theresa has taken the basic menu and incorporated additional herbs, vegetables and garnishes. In addition, she roasts turkeys at the center and has developed a number of specialty entrees for the seniors at Tigard. She has improved both the flavor and the presentation and the seniors can see and taste the difference.
Theresa has taught cooking classes to women in transition at the Oregon Food Bank and includes soups, gourmet salads, Mexican and Asian cuisine among her specialties.
